1. GOOGLE SUGGESTION / AUTOCOMPLETE


  • Here we get ideas for both negative keywords and positive keywords. Ikea, Amazon, Walmart - those would likely be negative or Poppin. But office desks for home might be a good one.




  • On the search results page we see l shaped office desks and we like that. executive office desks, computer desks, modern office desk would all be good.


  • You might click on l shaped desks on the first search page result, and then scroll to the bottom again and find other ideas for long tail keywords, such as here, l shaped desk with hutch



  • For this, if we have our keyword as office chairs with *broad match* we're going to end up bidding on all these other search terms coming up. This is where it's important to put those negative keywords in and get ideas for those negative keywords. 
    • On the other hand, if this were an eCommerce store, that had no local hub, we'd want to put near me as a negative keyword. 
    • And we might put Amazon, Staples, Walmart - bc that represents people looking for office chairs from a specific store.
